So for those of you that know me you know I really don't like to walk. I do it because I have to not because I want to. Recently I have been walking because I'm trying to get this weight down in the mean time I started to develop a pain in my hip. Thinking nothing of it I tried to stretch more and kept walking. Eventually the pain became too much for me to deal with and I made an appointment with the doctor. To my surprise the doctor said that my body was having an adverse reaction to the weight I already lost. My body had made it self comfortable with the weight and now that it was gone. So am I happy I lost the weight? YES!!! Need less to say I have to press through the pain and stretch some more and my body will straighten out. Yes you can Win from Losing

    Joshlyn,
I am sorry to hear about the pain in your hips. Are you doing better? Have you noticed a difference in the way your clothes fit or had the opportunity to weigh in again since you first started out?

Way to go Joshlyn!! You may not like to walk but I think you will have fun with Leslie Sansone's "In Home Walking" DVD's. They range from beginner to expert walks and they all use 4 basic steps.I think you will like them!! Her website has testimonies from women and men who have lost over 100lbs!!!
    Good Luck in your journey!!

Joshlyn, your story really touched my heart. As I have never been heavy until my later years in life, I'm almost 50 now, but I know the struggles of needing to lose weight and can't. There are no miracle pills in the world that can make you lose weight. It's all about exercise and eating right. If you burn off more calories than you eat you will lose weight. You didn't gain the weight overnight so you won't lose it overnight. You have a long road ahead of you but you can do it. I piggy backed on Weight Watchers with a friend who was trying to lose because I said no one can lose weight by counting points. Well I did and now after losing those 70 extra pounds I feel so much better. I also exercise constantly and I walk a lot. I drink plenty of water and no sodas. I do fall off the wagon eating stuff I shouldn't at times but all in all during the week I stay strictly to eating right and exercise and on the weekends I might eat off a little bit but during the week I get right back on.
